Delicious danishes filled with creamy sweetened cream cheese and wild blueberries, enveloped in buttery brioche dough.
Ingredients
- Brioche dough
- 1 Vanilla bean
- 8 oz Cream cheese
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Wild blueberries
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the brioche dough on a floured surface and cut it into squares.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, vanilla bean, eggs, and sugar until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture and a few wild blueberries in the center of each dough square.
- Fold the dough over to create a pocket and seal.
- In another bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter to create a crumb topping.
- Sprinkle the crumb over the danishes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature cream cheese to ensure a smooth filling. Dust flour on your work surface to prevent sticking.
