A refreshing summer drink combining zesty lemon and creamy whipped cream for a delightful twist on traditional lemonade.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 6 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups cold water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 5-6 drops of pink food coloring
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Juice the lemons to yield 1 cup of lemon juice, straining out seeds and pulp.
- In a saucepan over low heat, mix sugar with water until dissolved to create simple syrup.
- Combine the cooled syrup with lemon juice in a pitcher.
- Add pink food coloring to achieve your desired shade.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the chilled lemonade until combined.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves.
Notes
For added fizz, substitute sparkling water for still water. Adjust sugar levels based on your taste preferences.
