Description

Deliciously marinated venison steaks that are tender, juicy, and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • Venison (steaks, ground, or roasts)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic powder
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme)
  • Citrus juice (lemon or lime)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your venison. If using steaks, pat them dry with paper towels. For roasts, season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Mix marinade ingredients in a bowl. Coat the venison and let it marinate for up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven, based on your chosen cooking method.
  4. Cook the venison steaks for 4-6 minutes per side or until reaching your desired doneness. For roasts, cook in the oven at 350°F for 25-30 minutes per pound.
  5. Let the meat rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing to allow juices to redistribute.

Notes

Allow steaks to come to room temperature before cooking for even results. Use a meat thermometer to ensure perfect doneness.
