Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease two 8-inch round cake pans with butter and sprinkle with flour.
  3. Combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Add the softened butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  5. Mix everything together until smooth and well combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  8. Cool the cakes in the pans for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  10. Assemble the cake by placing one layer on a plate, spreading half the whipped cream over, and decorating with half of the sliced strawberries.
  11. Repeat with the second layer, creating a stunning presentation.
