Ingredients
- Sliced turkey breast, 8 ounces (227 g) (227 grams)
- Fresh spinach, 1 cup (240 ml) (30 grams)
- Beef salami, 4 slices
- Whole grain bread, 4 slices
- Vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters)
- Spicy brown mustard, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 grams)
Instructions
- Preheat a panini press or a large skillet over medium heat.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard evenly on each slice of whole grain bread.
- Layer 2 ounces of sliced turkey breast on two slices of the bread.
- Place 1/2 cup of fresh spinach evenly over the turkey on each bread slice.
- Arrange thin slices of Granny Smith apple on top of the spinach.
- Lay 2 slices of provolone cheese over the apples on each sandwich.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, mustard side down.
- Brush the outside of each sandwich with olive oil.
- Place the sandwiches in the panini press or skillet.
- Cook the sandwiches for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
- Remove from heat and let the paninis rest for 1 minute before slicing and serving.
