Description

Learn how to make delicious Turkey and Cheese Roll Ups with this easy recipe. Perfect for a quick snack or lunch, these roll ups are sure to satisfy your cravings!

Ingredients

  • 2 whole grain tortillas (150g)
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened (70g)
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) onion powder
  • 3/8 tsp (2 ml) black pepper
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (60g)
  • 2 medium carrots, grated (115g)
  • 2 tbsp plain yogurt (40g)
  • 6 slices of deli beef meat (106g)
  • 1 cup spinach (40g)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cheddar cheese, grated carrots, and yogurt. Stir thoroughly until a smooth mixture is achieved.
  2. Divide the cream cheese mixture, placing half in the middle of each tortilla. Use a knife to spread the mixture evenly across the tortilla, ensuring the outer edges remain clear.
  3. Layer each tortilla with a half-cup of spinach and three slices of deli beef. Roll each tortilla tightly.
  4. Cut each rolled tortilla into six portions and enjoy.
  5. *For optimal results, wrap each rolled tortilla in plastic wrap securely and refrigerate for at least one hour before slicing and serving. This step helps the cream cheese firm up and keeps the roll-ups intact, though it can be skipped if you’re eager to eat immediately.

Notes

  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on the tortillas for maximum flavor in every bite.
  • Use fresh spinach to add a pop of color and a satisfying crunch to the roll-ups.
  • Chill the rolled tortillas before slicing to help the cream cheese set and prevent the roll-ups from falling apart when cut.
