Delightful layers of creamy mascarpone and coffee-soaked Savoiardi biscuits create a heavenly experience in these Tiramisu Cups.
Ingredients
- 1 cup thickened cream, cold (250ml)
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese, cold (250g)
- ¼ cup caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 Savoiardi (ladyfinger biscuits)
- ⅔ cup espresso, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon liqueur, optional (such as Frangelico)
- ½ tablespoon cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Beat the cold thickened cream with an electric mixer until it reaches the soft peak stage.
- Combine mascarpone cheese, caster sugar, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. Beat until just combined.
- Fold one-third of the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
- Pour the espresso and optional liqueur into a dish. Quickly soak the Savoiardi biscuits in the coffee, ensuring all sides are coated.
- Place broken soaked biscuits evenly among the serving glasses.
- Spread a layer of the creamy mascarpone mixture over the soaked biscuits.
- Repeat the layering process: add more soaked biscuits followed by another layer of cream mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate the cups for at least 2 hours, or up to 2 days, before serving.
- Dust the tops with cocoa powder just before serving.
Notes
Chill mixing bowls and beaters before whipping the cream for better consistency. Taste the espresso to ensure it’s to your liking before soaking the ladyfingers.
