Description

A classic turkey meatloaf that combines lean ground turkey with breadcrumbs and aromatic vegetables for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (plus more for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, let the breadcrumbs soak in milk for about 5 minutes.
  3. Mix in the ground turkey, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, eggs, salt, pepper, thyme, and parsley until well combined.
  4. Form the turkey mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking pan.
  5. Coat the top of the meatloaf with a layer of ketchup for a classic glazed finish.
  6. Cook in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the meatloaf is fully cooked and the juices run clear.
  7. Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing to let the juices redistribute.

Notes

For added flavor, you can mix in finely chopped vegetables like bell peppers or carrots.
