Description

A vibrant blend of flavors and textures in tender beef, fresh vegetables, and fragrant basil wrapped in rice paper, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Rice paper wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the lean ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add soy sauce and hoisin sauce to the meat. Stir well until fully combined and let the mixture simmer for a few minutes.
  3. Incorporate shredded carrots and chopped bell peppers, cooking until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Soften rice paper in warm water for about 10-15 seconds, then lay it flat on a clean surface.
  5. Add a portion of the beef and vegetable mixture to the center, topped with fresh basil leaves.
  6. Roll up tightly, tucking in the sides as you go, to secure the filling within the wrapper.
  7. Serve immediately or refrigerate for later enjoyment.

Notes

For perfect rolls, ensure your rice paper is adequately hydrated and avoid overfilling them.
