Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions (sliced)
- 1 tbsp neutral oil
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the neutral oil. Let it warm for about a minute.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Increase the heat slightly and add the ground turkey. Break it apart using a spatula or wooden spoon.
- Cook the turkey for about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently until it turns browned and fully cooked.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the sauce over the browned turkey in the skillet. Stir to coat the meat evenly and allow it to simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from the heat, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve hot.
