Description

A delightful fusion of matcha and strawberries in a homemade sourdough loaf that elevates any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

  1. Combine all-purpose flour, sourdough starter, warm water, sugar, salt, and matcha powder in a large mixing bowl and stir until a sticky dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 4-6 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Shape the dough into a loaf and transfer it to a greased loaf pan, allowing it to rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow the loaf to cool before slicing.
