Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup strawberries, chopped
- 1/2 cup coconut flakes
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in another bowl until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter.
- Sprinkle chopped strawberries, coconut flakes, and optional nuts evenly over the top.
- Swirl the cream cheese mixture into the cake batter to create an ‘earthquake’ effect.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
