Description

A delightful chocolate cake swirled with cream cheese and topped with fresh strawberries and coconut flakes, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in another bowl until smooth.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter.
  6. Sprinkle chopped strawberries, coconut flakes, and optional nuts evenly over the top.
  7. Swirl the cream cheese mixture into the cake batter to create an ‘earthquake’ effect.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added texture, include chopped nuts or use fresh strawberries for enhanced flavor. Let cake cool slightly before serving to meld flavors.
