Description

A delightful and simple dish featuring fluffy rice topped with tender chicken glazed in a rich, sticky sauce made with soy sauce and honey.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger in a medium bowl until smooth.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat and add the diced chicken. Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  3. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Serve the chicken over cooked rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For optimal texture, use day-old rice. Adjust sweetness of the sauce by increasing or decreasing honey. Add vegetables for extra crunch.
