Description

These crispy, flavorful potatoes give you the festive street food experience at home, bursting with warmth and spice from smoked paprika, cayenne, and lime.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes (peeled and diced)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • Fresh cilantro (chopped for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced potatoes and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and crispy.
  3. Mix 1 teaspoon of salt, smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.
  4. Sprinkle the spice mix over the potatoes and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Remove from heat and drizzle with lime juice.
  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.

Notes

For crispiness, soak diced potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking. Adjust spice levels according to preference.
