Ingredients
- 1 cup of rice
- 1 cup of grated coconut
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon of urad dal
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1-2 dried red chilies
- 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh curry leaves
Instructions
- Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Once fluffy, set it aside.
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and urad dal, allowing them to splutter.
- Add chopped green chilies, dried red chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the grated coconut and turmeric powder, cooking for a few minutes while stirring often.
- Finally, mix in the cooked rice and salt, ensuring everything combines well.
