Description

A simple yet delicious sourdough discard pizza dough that transforms everyday ingredients into a flavorful pizza base, perfect for any toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups of water
  • ½ cup of sourdough discard
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4½ cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1½ cups of water, ½ cup of sourdough discard, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Stir until well blended.
  2. Gradually add 4½ cups of all-purpose flour and 2 teaspoons of salt to the wet mixture, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

Notes

For best results, let the dough rise in a warm place and use a kitchen scale for precise measurements. Experiment with hydration levels to achieve your desired crust texture.
