Description

A deliciously comforting quick bread that combines the tang of sourdough with a sweet cinnamon sugar topping, perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sourdough starter, sugar, and melted butter, mixing well.
  3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for about 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
