Description

A delightful sourdough bread infused with warm cinnamon and sugar, perfect for cozy mornings or any time of day.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sourdough starter
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 2 eggs


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sourdough starter, milk, and sugar until smooth.
  2. Add the softened butter and eggs; blend well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and yeast.
  4. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a dough forms.
  5. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1-2 hours).
  7. Roll the risen dough into a rectangle.
  8. Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, then sprinkle evenly over the dough.
  9. Roll the dough tightly into a log shape and place in a greased bread pan to rise again until nearly doubled.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool before slicing and enjoy!
