- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix the sourdough starter, granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, and milk until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, stirring until just mixed.
- Gently fold in the blueberries, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the best results, ensure your sourdough starter is active. Consider swapping some granulated sugar for brown sugar for added flavor.
