Description

A comforting and flavorful slow-cooked pot roast using Lipton Onion Soup Mix for a rich, savory taste.

Ingredients

  • Spray oil for crockpot
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 pounds of roast or flank steak
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 packages of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 6 potatoes, cut into large chunks
  • 6-8 carrots, cut into large pieces
  • Salt and pepper (optional)
  • 4 celery stalks (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the slow cooker by spraying the inner pot with spray oil.
  2. Mix one cup of water, cream of mushroom soup, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, and minced garlic in a medium bowl; set aside.
  3. Layer sliced onions at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Place the beef roast on top of the onions and pour half of the soup mixture over the meat.
  5. Add the potatoes and carrots, then pour the remaining soup mixture over them.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 480 to 540 minutes or on high for 300 to 360 minutes.
  7. Let the meat rest before slicing and serve with the vegetables.

Notes

Searing the meat before slow cooking is optional but can enhance flavor. Season vegetables for the best taste.
