Ingredients

  • 10 red potatoes (about 1 kg), cut into cubes
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour (45 g)
  • 200 g beef bacon bits
  • 1 small red onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable bouillon granules
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) ranch dressing mix
  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) seasoned salt
  • 5 teaspoon (3 ml) ground black pepper
  • 720 ml water
  • 240 ml milk
  • 120 g shredded Cheddar cheese, or to taste
  • 60 ml chopped green onion, or to taste


Instructions

  1. Place the cubed potatoes into the base of your slow cooker. Sprinkle the flour over them and mix until they are evenly coated.
  2. Add the beef bacon bits, chopped red onion, minced garlic, vegetable bouillon granules, ranch dressing mix, dried parsley, seasoned salt, and ground black pepper over the potatoes.
  3. Add the water to the slow cooker.
  4. Set the slow cooker to low and let it cook for 7 to 9 hours.
  5. Stir in the milk and let it continue to cook for an additional 15 minutes.
  6. Top with shredded Cheddar cheese and chopped green onion before serving.
