Ingredients
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Tsp Salt
- ½ Tsp Black Ground Pepper
- ½ Tsp Thyme (dried)
- ¼ Cup Worcestershire Sauce
- ½ Cup Chicken Stock
- 1 Tsp Tomato Paste
- 3 lbs. Ground Turkey
- 1 Cup Bread Crumbs
- 2 Eggs (beaten)
- ½ Cup Ketchup
Instructions
- Sauté the onion in olive oil over medium heat, adding salt, black pepper, and thyme, until softened (about 5 minutes).
- Add tomato paste and cook for an additional minute.
- Deglaze the skillet with Worcestershire sauce and chicken stock; allow to cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, and the cooled onion mixture; mix gently.
- Transfer the mixture to a prepared baking sheet or loaf pan, shaping into a loaf.
- Spread ketchup over the top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For a juicier meatloaf, mix lean and slightly fattier ground turkey. Use a meat thermometer for precise doneness.
