Description

A moist and flavorful turkey meatloaf recipe that’s simple yet satisfying, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • ½ Tsp Black Ground Pepper
  • ½ Tsp Thyme (dried)
  • ¼ Cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ Cup Chicken Stock
  • 1 Tsp Tomato Paste
  • 3 lbs. Ground Turkey
  • 1 Cup Bread Crumbs
  • 2 Eggs (beaten)
  • ½ Cup Ketchup

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onion in olive oil over medium heat, adding salt, black pepper, and thyme, until softened (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add tomato paste and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Deglaze the skillet with Worcestershire sauce and chicken stock; allow to cool slightly.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, and the cooled onion mixture; mix gently.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a prepared baking sheet or loaf pan, shaping into a loaf.
  6. Spread ketchup over the top.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a juicier meatloaf, mix lean and slightly fattier ground turkey. Use a meat thermometer for precise doneness.
