Description

Learn how to make mouthwatering Sautéed Grilled Garlic Mushrooms with this easy recipe. Perfect for adding a flavorful twist to your meals!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454 g) mushrooms (450 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil (30 milliliters)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce (15 milliliters)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt (5 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper (1 gram)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh parsley, chopped (15 grams)
  • 1/2 tablespoon (8 ml) lemon juice (7.5 milliliters)

Instructions

  1. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and trim the stems if necessary.
  2. Slice the mushrooms into even pieces for uniform cooking.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet in a single layer.
  5. Cook the mushrooms for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to brown.
  6. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and the minced garlic to the skillet.
  7. Stir in the soy sauce, salt, and pepper, ensuring mushrooms are well coated.
  8. Continue to sauté for another 5 minutes until mushrooms are tender and garlic is fragrant.
  9. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the lemon juice.
  10. Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the mushrooms and toss gently to combine.
  11. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • Enhance the flavor with a dash of balsamic vinegar or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
  • Avoid overcrowding the skillet to ensure even browning of the mushrooms.
  • Customize the seasoning to your liking by adjusting salt, pepper, or lemon juice, and for a richer taste, stir in a pat of butter before serving.
