Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup caramel chips
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
- ½ tsp flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
- Cream together the softened butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the caramel chips and chocolate chips if desired.
- Scoop the dough onto your prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Sprinkle the dough balls with flaky sea salt before baking.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
