Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl until evenly combined.
  3. Cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each fully incorporates before adding the next.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring until well combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just incorporated.
  7. Fold in the white chocolate chunks for even distribution throughout the dough.
  8. Drop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set and centers remain soft.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
