Ingredients

  • 3 garlic cloves (15g) – minced
  • 1 cup chopped white onion (150g)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (450g)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets (300g) – chopped small
  • 1 cup (240 ml) honey garlic sauce
  • 4 cups cooked rice (750g) – to serve with


Instructions

  1. Warm a skillet on medium heat. Introduce 1 tablespoon of olive oil, followed by 3 minced garlic cloves and 1 cup of chopped onion. Sauté until the onion becomes see-through, roughly 1-2 minutes.
  2. Incorporate 1 pound of lean ground beef. Crumble and cook until it loses its pink color, taking about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Mix in 3 cups of broccoli florets. Stir and continue cooking until the broccoli becomes slightly tender when pierced with a fork, around 3-4 minutes. It should remain “crisp tender.”
  4. Drizzle 1 cup of honey garlic sauce over the mixture and blend thoroughly. Heat for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce is warmed and the broccoli is fully tender.
  5. Place rice into serving bowls, then top with the beef and broccoli mixture. Serve and enjoy!
