Description

A comforting and nourishing bake that combines the delicious flavors of pizza with the creamy texture of cottage cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups full-fat cottage cheese
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 1 cup pasta sauce (marinara or pizza sauce)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup mixed pizza toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, mushrooms)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder


Instructions

  1. Combine the cottage cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella, eggs, oregano, and garlic powder in a large mixing bowl. Mix until well blended.
  2. Spread a layer of pasta sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Spoon half of the cottage cheese mixture over the sauce, smoothing it out evenly.
  4. Sprinkle half of your desired pizza toppings over this mixture.
  5. Pour another layer of pasta sauce on top, followed by the remaining cottage cheese mixture.
  6. Finish with the remaining toppings and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Consider adding fresh herbs to the cottage cheese mixture for added flavor. For a crispier topping, broil for the last few minutes of baking while watching closely.
