A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, combining gooey cheese and aromatic pesto for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 2 tablespoons pesto
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Spread pesto on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place a slice of cheese on the non-pesto side of one slice of bread.
- Top with the second slice of bread, pesto side down.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
- Once melted, add the sandwich to the skillet.
- Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then flip.
- Cook the other side until the cheese melts and the bread browns.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding fresh herbs or sliced tomatoes. Use a lid while cooking to melt the cheese evenly.
