Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon crushed black peppercorns
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Set a small pan over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Once melted, stir in the beef stock, cream, mustard, crushed pepper, and salt.
- Let the sauce simmer for around 5-10 minutes while stirring often.
- When it clings to a spoon without dripping, take the pan off the heat.
- Pour the sauce over your dish or serve in a small bowl.
Notes
Use fresh crushed black peppercorns for a deeper flavor. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of beef stock or cream.
