A rich and creamy peppercorn sauce that elevates any dish, especially beef, with its beautiful flavor profile.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon crushed black peppercorns
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Set a small pan over medium heat and melt the butter.
  2. Once melted, stir in the beef stock, cream, mustard, crushed pepper, and salt.
  3. Let the sauce simmer for around 5-10 minutes while stirring often.
  4. When it clings to a spoon without dripping, take the pan off the heat.
  5. Pour the sauce over your dish or serve in a small bowl.

Notes

Use fresh crushed black peppercorns for a deeper flavor. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of beef stock or cream.
