Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup (90 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoon s (30 ml) water
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon s (28 g) butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) dried Italian herbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) red pepper flakes (optional )
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Flatten chicken breasts to uniform thickness.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. In another bowl, beat eggs with water.
  5. Place Parmesan cheese in a separate dish.
  6. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  7. Dip chicken into the egg mixture, then coat with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  9. Add chicken to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden.
  10. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake chicken for 15-20 minutes.
  11. In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat.
  12. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  13. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  14. Add Italian herbs and red pepper flakes, simmer for 5 minutes.
  15. Remove chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  16. Spoon creamy garlic sauce over the chicken.
  17. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  18. Serve immediately.
