Ingredients
- 1 large head of green cabbage
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (30 ml)
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt (5 g)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (1 g)
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (1 g)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15 ml)
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove any damaged outer leaves from the cabbage.
- Slice the cabbage into 1-inch thick rounds or “steaks.”
- Arrange the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Brush the garlic oil mixture evenly over both sides of each cabbage steak.
- Roast the cabbage in the oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Remove from the oven when the edges are crisp and browned.
- Drizzle the roasted cabbage steaks with lemon juice.
- Optionally, garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
