Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s avocado oil
- 4 (6-ounce) salmon filets, (Alaskan Sockeye or Coho)
- 1 orange, juiced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s honey
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s tamari
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) thyme, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) arrowroot flour
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) water
Instructions
- Dry the salmon using a paper towel and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Warm up the avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and place the salmon in the pan, cooking for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- While the salmon is cooking, combine the arrowroot flour with water to create a slurry, and set it aside.
- After the salmon is done, move it to a separate dish.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and sauté the minced garlic in the same pan for half a minute. Add the orange juice, honey, tamari, thyme, and arrowroot mixture, and whisk everything together for 1-2 minutes until it slightly thickens.
- Return the salmon to the pan and drizzle the glaze over it before serving.
