Description

Delicious no bake cookie dough bars that capture the nostalgic delight of cookie dough without any baking.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk (or dairy-free milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips (or regular chocolate chips, chopped)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the flour by heating it in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or baking it at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes. Let it cool.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until smooth and the sugar is mostly dissolved.
  3. Slowly add the cooled flour to the wet mixture. Mix until a thick, soft dough forms. If it feels dry, add a tablespoon of milk at a time.
  4. Fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or grease it. Press the cookie dough mixture into the pan evenly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, until firm.
  7. Once set, remove from the pan, cut into squares, and serve.

Notes

Chill the dough for neat squares, and feel free to experiment with mix-ins like nuts or dried fruit.
