Description

Delightful cookies that combine rich flavors and childhood nostalgia, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts, if using.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them evenly.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are slightly soft.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a nut-free version, skip the optional nuts. Experiment with different chocolate chip varieties for varied flavors.
