Description

A hearty and comforting casserole combining ground turkey, creamy cheeses, and a crunchy Ritz cracker topping, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 8 ounces small shelled pasta
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 cup cottage cheese, or whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning
  • 2 sleeves Ritz crackers, crumbled
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Brown the ground turkey in a frying pan, lightly seasoning with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, milk, and ranch seasoning. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350℉. Cook the small shell pasta according to package instructions.
  4. While the noodles boil, crush the Ritz crackers and mix them with the melted butter.
  5. Drain the pasta and mix it with the ground turkey and cheese sauce.
  6. Layer half of the buttered Ritz cracker mixture in a baking dish.
  7. Spread the turkey and noodle mixture on top of the crackers, followed by the remaining buttered crumbs.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top turns golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For variations, try substituting cottage cheese with flavored varieties or switching the pasta shape. Adding fresh herbs can enhance the flavor.
