Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (15 ml)

  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (120 ml)
  • 1/4 cup water (60 ml)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 head butter lettuce or romaine lettuce
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (4 g)
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
  5. Drain excess fat from the skillet if necessary.
  6. Sprinkle taco seasoning over the beef and mix well.
  7. Stir in diced tomatoes and water.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Simmer the mixture for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  10. Wash and separate lettuce leaves.
  11. Spoon beef mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf.
  12. Top with sliced avocado and chopped cilantro.
