Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (450 g)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (15 ml)

- 1 tbsp (15 ml) taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (120 ml)
- 1/4 cup water (60 ml)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 head butter lettuce or romaine lettuce
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (4 g)
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet if necessary.
- Sprinkle taco seasoning over the beef and mix well.
- Stir in diced tomatoes and water.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer the mixture for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Wash and separate lettuce leaves.
- Spoon beef mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf.
- Top with sliced avocado and chopped cilantro.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side.
