Description

Indulge in the ultimate comfort food with our recipe for Melted Mozzarella and Ranch Chicken Bombs. Learn how to make this cheesy, savory dish today!

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (24 oz / 680g)
  • 1 packet (1 oz / 28g) of ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) of smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 beef cheese sticks or 1 cup (4 oz / 120g) of shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup (2 oz / 60g) plain or Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) melted butter or olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by setting your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking tray with parchment paper for easy cleaning afterward.
  2. Slice the chicken breasts into small chunks, about 2 to 3 inches in size. In a bowl, mix the chicken with ranch seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. For the cheese filling, either chop the mozzarella sticks into smaller sections or measure out a cup of shredded mozzarella, ensuring it’s at room temperature for optimal melting.
  4. To create each bomb, take a seasoned chicken piece and insert a cheese piece inside, wrapping the chicken completely around it to secure the cheesy center.
  5. In a shallow bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the Parmesan cheese. Roll each chicken bomb in this mixture, pressing gently to ensure an even, crisp coating.
  6. Lightly coat each bomb with melted butter or olive oil to promote a golden brown finish while baking, enhancing both fragrance and flavor.
  7. Place the chicken bombs on the prepared baking tray, leaving space between them for even cooking. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the breadcrumbs are golden.
  8. For extra flavor and a pop of color, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the bombs before serving. Enjoy them hot, savoring the delightful aroma, crispy coating, and creamy melted center.

Notes

  • Consider using whole wheat breadcrumbs or almond meal for a healthier twist.
  • Try different cheeses like cheddar, pepper jack, or Gouda for a unique flavor.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick in the breadcrumb mixture.
