  • Black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g)
  • Salt, 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g)
  • Vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
  • Bell peppers, 2 cups chopped (300 g)
  • Broccoli florets, 2 cups (300 g)
  • Carrot, 1 cup sliced (130 g)
  • Egg, 1 large
  • Breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup (60 g)
  • Green onions, 1/4 cup chopped (25 g)
  • Sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon (10 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Mix the ingredients until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into 1-inch (2.5 cm) meatballs.
  5. Arrange the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup and soy sauce.
  7. Brush the maple soy mixture over the meatballs.
  8. Bake meatballs in the oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  9. While meatballs are baking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  10. Add chopped bell peppers, broccoli florets, and sliced carrots to the skillet.
  11. Stir-fry the vegetables for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
  12. Remove the skillet from heat and set vegetables aside.
  13. Once meatballs are done, remove them from the oven.
  14. Arrange the cooked vegetables on a serving platter.
  15. Place the meatballs on top of the vegetables.
  16. Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds over the dish.
  17. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Opt for ground turkey instead of ground beef for a healthier twist on the meatballs.
  • Add snow peas or snap peas to the dish for an extra crunch and burst of flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of maple syrup in the glaze for a sweeter taste, if desired.
