Ingredients
- Ground beef, 1 pound (450 g)
- Maple syrup, 1/4 cup (60 ml)
- Soy sauce, 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
- Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon (5 g)
- Onion powder, 1 teaspoon (5 g)
- Black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g)
- Salt, 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g)
- Vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
- Bell peppers, 2 cups chopped (300 g)
- Broccoli florets, 2 cups (300 g)
- Carrot, 1 cup sliced (130 g)
- Egg, 1 large
- Breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup (60 g)
- Green onions, 1/4 cup chopped (25 g)
- Sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon (10 g)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Mix the ingredients until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch (2.5 cm) meatballs.
- Arrange the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup and soy sauce.
- Brush the maple soy mixture over the meatballs.
- Bake meatballs in the oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- While meatballs are baking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped bell peppers, broccoli florets, and sliced carrots to the skillet.
- Stir-fry the vegetables for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Remove the skillet from heat and set vegetables aside.
- Once meatballs are done, remove them from the oven.
- Arrange the cooked vegetables on a serving platter.
- Place the meatballs on top of the vegetables.
- Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds over the dish.
- Serve immediately.
