Ingredients
- 2 pounds (900g) ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 5 teaspoon (3 ml) onion powder
- 1 pound (450g) cooked beef bacon, cut into pieces
- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream
- 5 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
- 25 teaspoon (1 ml) ground black pepper
- 1 (340g) package shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Set your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) to warm up.
- In a large nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat, cook the beef along with the garlic and onion powder, stirring frequently, until the beef turns brown and breaks apart easily, about 5 to 7 minutes. Get rid of any excess fat.
- Move the cooked beef into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Mix in the pieces of cooked bacon and spread everything evenly.
- In a medium-sized bowl, beat the eggs with the cream, salt, and pepper until fully mixed. Add 3/4 of the Cheddar cheese to the mixture and blend well. Pour this over the beef and bacon in the baking dish and sprinkle the remaining Cheddar on top.
- Place in the oven and bake until the top is golden brown, approximately 30 to 35 minutes.
