Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (900g) ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 teaspoon (3 ml) onion powder
  • 1 pound (450g) cooked beef bacon, cut into pieces
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream
  • 5 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
  • 25 teaspoon (1 ml) ground black pepper
  • 1 (340g) package shredded Cheddar cheese


Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) to warm up.
  2. In a large nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat, cook the beef along with the garlic and onion powder, stirring frequently, until the beef turns brown and breaks apart easily, about 5 to 7 minutes. Get rid of any excess fat.
  3. Move the cooked beef into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Mix in the pieces of cooked bacon and spread everything evenly.
  4. In a medium-sized bowl, beat the eggs with the cream, salt, and pepper until fully mixed. Add 3/4 of the Cheddar cheese to the mixture and blend well. Pour this over the beef and bacon in the baking dish and sprinkle the remaining Cheddar on top.
  5. Place in the oven and bake until the top is golden brown, approximately 30 to 35 minutes.
