- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) onion powder
- 1 pound (450g) cooked beef bacon, cut into pieces
- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground black pepper
- 1 (340g) package shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Set your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) to preheat.
- In a large nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef along with minced garlic and onion powder, stirring frequently until the beef is browned and crumbly, approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Remove and discard excess fat.
- Place the cooked beef into a 9×13-inch casserole dish. Mix in the chopped cooked bacon, ensuring an even distribution.
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth. Blend in 3/4 of the shredded cheddar cheese. Pour this mixture over the beef and bacon in the casserole dish, and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake until the top is golden brown, about 30 to 35 minutes.
