Description

Discover a delicious low-carb bacon cheeseburger casserole recipe that is easy to make and packed with flavor. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (900g) ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) onion powder
  • 1 pound (450g) cooked beef bacon, cut into pieces
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground black pepper
  • 1 (340g) package shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) to preheat.
  2. In a large nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef along with minced garlic and onion powder, stirring frequently until the beef is browned and crumbly, approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Remove and discard excess fat.
  3. Place the cooked beef into a 9×13-inch casserole dish. Mix in the chopped cooked bacon, ensuring an even distribution.
  4. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth. Blend in 3/4 of the shredded cheddar cheese. Pour this mixture over the beef and bacon in the casserole dish, and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  5. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake until the top is golden brown, about 30 to 35 minutes.
