Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef (900 g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) onion powder
- 1 pound cooked beef bacon, cut into pieces (450 g)
- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream (240 ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground black pepper
- 1 (340 g) package shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to preheat.
- In a large nonstick frying pan, cook the beef with garlic and onion powder over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until the meat is browned and breaks apart easily, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and remove the excess fat.
- Move the cooked beef to a 9×13-inch baking dish. Add the sliced cooked bacon and mix well, ensuring an even layer.
- In a medium-sized bowl, beat the eggs with the cream, salt, and black pepper until thoroughly mixed. Add in three-quarters of the mozzarella cheese and combine. Pour this mixture over the beef in the baking dish, then scatter the remaining mozzarella on top.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake until the top is golden brown, approximately 30 to 35 minutes.
