Description

Delight in a juicy burger wrapped in crisp lettuce for a refreshing, healthy twist on the classic.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Iceberg lettuce leaves (or any lettuce of your choice)
  • Burger toppings of your choice (e.g., tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, cheese slices, avocado slices)

Instructions

  1. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well to distribute the seasoning evenly.
  2. Divide the seasoned beef into equal portions and shape them into burger patties, ensuring they are about the same thickness for even cooking.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the burger patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  5. Wash and pat dry the lettuce leaves, then use them as wraps for your burgers. Place a cooked burger patty on each lettuce leaf.
  6. Add your favorite burger toppings on top of the burger patties.
  7. Carefully fold the lettuce leaves around the burger patties and toppings to form lettuce wraps. Secure the wraps with toothpicks if needed, then serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Consider using romaine or butter lettuce for a different texture. Experiment with various toppings for a fun interactive dining experience.
