Description

A delightful dish of Korean chicken breasts marinated in a perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors, ideal for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Steamed rice (for serving)
  • Steamed vegetables (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey (or brown sugar), sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add chicken breasts to the marinade, coating them well. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side on the grill, or in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Serve hot with steamed rice and vegetables.

Notes

Allowing the chicken to marinate overnight enhances the flavor. Let the chicken rest a few minutes after cooking for optimal juiciness.
