Description
A delightful dish of Korean chicken breasts marinated in a perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors, ideal for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Steamed rice (for serving)
- Steamed vegetables (for serving)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey (or brown sugar), sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken breasts to the marinade, coating them well. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
- Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side on the grill, or in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Serve hot with steamed rice and vegetables.
Notes
Allowing the chicken to marinate overnight enhances the flavor. Let the chicken rest a few minutes after cooking for optimal juiciness.
