Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts (450 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil (30 milliliters)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried oregano (5 grams)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried basil (5 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt (3 grams)
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper (1 gram)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) grated alternative cheese (50 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice (15 milliliters)
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water


Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Cover the bowl and marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  6. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  7. Grill the chicken skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
