Ingredients

  • – 4 small chicken breasts (680g)
  • – 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.25g)
  • – 1/4 teaspoon pepper (0.6g)
  • – 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (1.5g)
  • – 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (5ml)
  • – 4 slices beef bacon, chopped
  • – 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (14g)
  • – 6 ounces (170g) shredded cheese
  • – 4 ounces (113g) cream cheese, softened
  • – 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (1.5g)
  • – 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (0.6g)
  • – 1/8 teaspoon celery salt (0.3g)
  • – 1/4 teaspoon dried dill (0.5g)


Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 200C/400F to preheat. Lightly coat a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with oil and put it aside.
  2. Flatten the chicken breasts to a thickness of ¼ inch. Season them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Pour vegetable oil into a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped beef bacon and fry until crispy. Take the bacon out, keeping the bacon fat in the skillet. Add more vegetable oil and once it’s hot, cook the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
  4. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and drizzle the cooking juices from the pan over them.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with onion powder, garlic powder, celery salt, and dried dill until smooth.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over each chicken breast. Sprinkle the crispy bacon pieces on top, then add the shredded cheese.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the cheese is melted. Take it out of the oven and serve immediately.

  • Consider marinating the chicken in a mixture of salt, pepper, and garlic powder before cooking for added flavor.
