Description

A simple and flavorful sourdough pizza dough made from sourdough starter discard, perfect for creating delicious homemade pizzas.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter discard
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sourdough starter, flour, salt, and sugar. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Gradually add warm water and olive oil to the mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  7. Add your favorite toppings and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For a richer flavor, allow the dough to ferment overnight in the refrigerator. Experiment with different toppings for unique pizzas.
