Description

Delightful homemade churro bites filled with Nutella, perfect for any occasion and a great family treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • Nutella (for filling)
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and ½ cup of unsalted butter. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add in 1 cup of all-purpose flour and ¼ teaspoon of salt; stir until a dough forms.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and mix in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  4. Beat in 4 large eggs, one at a time, until the mixture becomes smooth.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or pan.
  6. Pipe small rounds of dough into the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon.
  8. Remove the churros from the oil and roll them in the sugar mixture.
  9. Let the churros cool slightly, then fill with Nutella using a piping bag.

Notes

Ensure oil reaches the right temperature for frying to achieve crispy churros. Experiment with flavored sugars for variation.
