A quick and flavorful hibachi-style zucchini dish that highlights the natural taste of this versatile vegetable.
Ingredients
- 2 medium zucchinis, cut into 2–3 inch sticks
- 1 medium onion, quartered and sliced
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the sliced onions and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the zucchini sticks and cook for about 4-5 minutes until heated through and golden brown.
- Drizzle in soy sauce and sesame oil, tossing everything together. Cook for another minute to allow the sauce to coat the vegetables.
- Finally, sprinkle with sesame seeds, salt, and pepper before serving.
