Description

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (like almond or peanut butter)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1/4 cup protein powder (optional)
  • Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine rolled oats, nut butter, honey or maple syrup, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  2. Add poppy seeds, protein powder if using, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined.
  4. Form the mixture into small balls, about one inch in diameter.
  5. Place the energy bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
