Ingredients
- 1 Pound (454 g) Ground Meat – Chicken, Beef, or Turkey
- 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) Olive Oil
- 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) Minced Garlic
- 1/2 Sweet Onion – Chopped
- Black Pepper – For seasoning your meat
- 16 Ounces (454 g) Coleslaw Mix
- 4 Ounces (113 g) Carrots – Shredded
- 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) Rice Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) Sesame Oil
- 2 Ounces (57 g) Soy Sauce – Low Sodium
- 1 Teaspoon (5 ml) Ground Ginger
- 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) Sweet & Sour Sauce – or Hoisin, Teriyaki, Oyster Sauce *Optional
Instructions
- Set your stove to medium heat and pour the Olive Oil into a large pan or skillet.
- Add the Ground Meat to the pan and cook it thoroughly, making sure to crumble it into small pieces as it cooks.
- While the meat is cooking, incorporate the Garlic, Onion, and Pepper.
- Once the meat is fully cooked, reduce the heat to low.
- Introduce the remaining ingredients to the pan.
- Stir everything together and allow it to simmer for 5-10 minutes, or until it reaches your desired level of tenderness.
- Optionally, garnish with Green Onion, Sesame Seeds, Hot Sauce, or Hard Boiled Eggs if desired.

- For a healthier option, use lean ground turkey or chicken and low sodium soy sauce.
